Please consider giving today by clicking here for our Network for Good page and help a homeowner in need! Also, if you visit Amazon’s online marketplace here, and a percentage of your purchase will be donated directly to our organization through the AmazonSmile program.
Rebuilding Together Baltimore is supported by the generous donations of local businesses, religious groups, government agencies, philanthropic foundations, and private individuals like you.
We work with low-income homeowners to make their homes warmer, safer and drier. The services we provide help to stabilize affordable homeownership and help seniors to age in place. Volunteers play a key role in our mission and provide a large majority of our home repair labor.
How do we use your donation?
$5,000 Covers the average cost of a roof repair
$3,000 Buys a new furnace for a homeowner with no heat
$1,500 Provides critical electrical repairs that will prevent fires
$750 Buys the materials needed for a wheelchair ramp
$500 Buys a new hot water heater for a homeowner
$100 Buys 5 hot water heater insulating blankets for low-income homeowners who spend 17% of their income on home energy costs.
$75 helps us to buy 2 grabs bars and a non-slip bathmat for an older low-income homeowner with severe arthritis. These will help to prevent the homeowner from falling in the tub/shower. Falls are the leading cause injury-related death among older adults. By helping to prevent falls, we are saving lives.
$50 helps us buy smoke and carbon monoxide detectors plus a kitchen fire extinguisher
$25 helps us to buy the materials to install a second handrail on interior stairs. This handrail will make it possible for the homeowner to walk up and down the stairs safely and will reduce their risk of falling.
